Hi, I’m Fred Aceves: an author, editor, book coach, and someone who knows what it’s like to pursue big goals without a clear plan.

In 1998 I left the U.S. to experience other cultures, living and working across six countries. Through all the changes, I maintained my connection to books. I read many, edited those of other writers, and even wrote a couple myself. Through it all, I discovered the importance of feedback, structure, and support for success.

My debut novel, The Closest I’ve Come, was published by HarperCollins in 2017. That book changed everything. With the backing of an agent and editor, I went from hopeful writer to published author. I know firsthand how different the journey is when you have the right people in your corner.
